I don't know if anyone else has been to South Bank recently but there is a giant straw fox right by the Hayward Gallery! It is awesome!

My sketchbook at the moment
These are a few pages from my most recent sketchbook.
You can see where the Hokusai ring came from and a few variations on the theme, which I think will turn out quite nicely too!
These are some designs for tiaras:
I think Smaug would approve of having a tiara designed after him! He would be sitting on a pile of jewels, which I think would be suitably sparkly.

Tiny little Silver Fox Ring
I just had this wonderful little fox ring through from Xidni (a designer on etsy) and I think you will agree that it is just so incredibly cute!
This was a custom order but there are so many beautiful things already for sale that you really will be spoilt for choice!

Studio Ghibli
I am really excited about the new Studio Ghibli film Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrower Arrietty) being released in the UK!
Based on The Borrowers by Mary Norton, Hayao Miyazaki has written a screenplay based in Japan about little people that borrow things from humans to survive.
You can watch the Japanese trailer here!
I made this bracelet a couple of months ago in homage to My Neighbor Totoroand I would love to make more Ghibli inspired pieces. There are a few pieces that are inspired by Studio Ghibli in my etsy shop but I think there should be more!

Anchor Bauble Ring
Here is the latest offering in my new range of jewellery inspired by the sea.
I cut out a tiny little anchor by drilling and then sawing a silver disc and then soldered it onto a tiny silver half ball. This makes a light, bauble ring which stacks beautifully with other rings. I have plans to make similar rings with a ship and star too!

Mother of Pearl Brooch
I picked up this gaming counter today at an Antiques Collector Fair.
It is probably 18th century and made in China from mother of pearl. I think it is really beautiful and will make a really lovely brooch when I fit it with a silver bezel and brooch back.

Ocean Waves New Jewellery Range
This is a new jewellery range that I am working on at the moment. The inspirations are Hokusai's wave, Tudor portraiture featuring Elizabeth I and the defeat of the Spanish Armada using silver and the gemstone kyanite.
